Marilee Joyce founded Joyce Communications, Inc. in 1995 with the goal of providing non-partisan, balanced news on how federal issues affect states.
Her statewide Nevada show, "Eye On Washington," has been on the air for more than 15 years. It airs on six tv stations -- including CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates -- and two radio stations. Marilee hosts that program and features members of the Nevada Congressional delegation along with other federal, national, state and local leaders. The company also publishes Nevada's Washington Watch, a newsletter that targets how federal issues affect Nevada's primary industries and citizens.
During the time the Nevada show has aired, Marilee also has produced and hosted statewide shows for Michigan and Georgia (each aired for three years, consecutively) and a short program for Pennsylvania.
She also produced a pilot program called KIDS America! and worked with Reuters Television on a pilot for a news program called "Financial Rhythms," which focuses on financial concerns of the minority community.
Marilee is a graduate of the University of Nevada's Donald W. Reynolds School of Journalism and in 2004 founded an endowment for the college, the Marilee Joyce Broadcast Scholarship, which annually helps a journalism student with tuition needs.
